WELCOME

Welcome to the Urban Culture course at Avila University created by Susan Lawlor and Dotty Hamilton.  We travel with our students to great cities to explore art museums, engage with the architecture, study the local film and music venues, and experience the ethnic enclaves as a way to learn about the culture of urban spaces and the interaction of art and environment.  It's a fun, intense learning environment.

Waiting for the Metro

    One thing that i really found interesting in Montreal were the metros. It made getting around that much easier and in ways more interesting. I enjoy people watching so seeing the different styles and the different attitudes people had was great. The metro to me would be a great investment that KC should look into.

      James - I agree - Wish KC had a Metro system. It's a great way to travel. You get more exercise, and you are more connected to people on a daily basis.
